Tell us a little about your interest and involvement in rainwater harvesting and conservation for food production.

I’ve developed an interest in Rainwater Harvesting Conservation through both my academic background in Geography and Tourism and my passion for sustainable development and environmental practices. Over time, I’ve come to see water not just as a resource, but as an important starting point for addressing rural development, climate resilience, and food security.

My involvement is growing, particularly through my participation in the Amanzi for Food programme, where I’m exploring practical methods of rainwater harvesting in agriculture. I see this not only as a technical solution but as a community empowerment tool that ties into indigenous knowledge, land use planning, and the intersection of environmental justice and food production.
